Exercises for the development of musical ear: it's time to share secrets!

A musical ear is the ability of a person to perceive musical works and to identify any shortcomings in them or, on the contrary, to evaluate the merits of music.

Some people perceive sounds of only a certain origin and completely do not distinguish sounds of music. And some musicians, naturally possessing a musical ear, are not susceptible to extraneous sounds. There are also people who perfectly distinguish the sounds of only one kind and who do not perceive the sounds of another at all. Thus, the development of hearing has individual differences.

Inattention or "musical deafness"

Most cases of "musical deafness" are just inattention. For example, when a person is engaged in some business, he is completely inattentive to sounds. That is, the ear, of course, perceives sound, but the brain, focused on the main occupation, does not record the sound that is going on. Naturally, he will not process it as unnecessary.

Hearing needs to be developed, as it is able to progress better than any other feeling. There are special exercises for the development of musical hearing, practicing which can be developed in the perception and definition of musical sounds and not only. By adding to the exercises the necessary care for the musical ear, you can reach certain heights in music. And with careless attitude and carelessness - start your hearing. Next, consider a few exercises for the development of musical ear.

First exercise

The first exercise is attentiveness and interest. Walking along the street, you must listen to the conversations of passersby and hold in your head for a while the piece you heard. By applying this exercise in practice, after some time you will be able to hold several scraps of conversations in your memory at once.

Second exercise

Listening to the conversations of passers-by, try to remember not only the phrase, but also the voices of people, so that when you hear some voice next time, remember the phrase spoken by the owner of this voice. When practicing this exercise, pay attention to the fact that each person has a manner of conversation that is unique to him.

Third exercise

This exercise is also based on memorizing voices. There is a fun game where several people sit in front of the main party, with whom he is familiar and blindfolded. People take turns to say some words, and the main character of the game must determine who owns the voice. This exercise is very useful for the development of hearing.

Fourth exercise

The next exercise is to listen to a simple piece of music and then try to sing it. Such a simple exercise contributes to the intensive development of hearing and attention to musical sounds. At first, you can indulge in really songs, memorize the song's lyrics and its melody from the first time, the more complicated and interesting option is to try to repeat an excerpt of instrumental music from memory. After some time, you will feel ease in playing melodies and you can move on to more complex works.

Fifth exercise

This exercise, oddly enough, is based on listening to lectures. So it will be easier for students to develop hearing and attentiveness than for people who communicate in a limited circle. The exercise consists in the following: after listening to the lecture, it is necessary to try to reproduce not only the memorized information, but also try to repeat it with the same intonation as the teacher.

Repeating the above exercises for the development of musical hearing from day to day, you can reach great heights in the development of not only a musical ear, but also attentiveness, interest in the world around. And this is already a new step towards the realization by man of his creative potential, moreover, with a more professional approach to business.
